My approach
I aim to make every session empowering and supportive, helping you build a deeper understanding of your body and what it can do.
People come to Pilates for many reasons. For some it is an enjoyable form of exercise in its own right. For others it supports sport hobbies or everyday movement.
Whatever your goal sessions are designed to help you get there. As a fully trained back care specialist I work with a wide range of clients including those recovering from injury or surgery as well as people managing long-term conditions.
With years of experience I meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence. From complete beginners to experienced clients everyone can benefit from Pilates as part of their lifestyle.
My Sessions
Beginning with an initial consultation to get to know each other and understand your needs goals and any concerns. It is also a chance for you to feel comfortable in the studio. We usually start with a few private sessions to build a strong foundation before moving into shared or small group sessions if you wish.Sessions are kept small to ensure personal attention at all times.
If you are new to pilates you are very welcome to try a session first. You can then move into group classes when you feel ready or continue with private sessions.

My pilates journey

My Pilates journey began over 20 years ago after pregnancy when I was experiencing ongoing back issues. Looking for relief I started attending Pilates classes and quickly fell in love with how it made my body feel stronger more balanced and pain-free. Inspired by the results I trained as a Pilates instructor, completing my initial training with Body Control Pilates in Covent Garden in 2005. I then spent many years teaching matwork classes and building a strong foundation in movement and technique.
As my passion grew I moved into studio Pilates. I qualified as a Reformer teacher in 2010 with Gordon Thompson and Ellie Ioannidou in South Kensington and went on to complete a two-year full studio certification with the Pilates Foundation at Pilates Off The Square in Marylebone.
For the past 10 years I have specialised in studio teaching, first in Hertfordshire and now in Brighton where I founded Pilates on the Hill four years ago.
